Many of the inmates that I minister to in Charlotte Jail Central have had traumatic life experiences that adversely affected their self-esteem and self worth. In "Teaching Inmates Their Worth", Sean Demars explains the purpose of advising the inmates that they were made in the image and likeness of God, the consequences of Original Sin and that even with their personal sin God loves them and has a plan for them to be reflections of His love and mercy.
